Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) - When “Mean Girls 2” premieres on ABC Family next month, you won’t find Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams or any of the original Plastics. Instead, a gaggle of Disney stars have assumed the lean, mean roles.

In the straight-to-TV-and-DVD sequel, which wasn’t written by Tina Fey this time, Meaghan Martin of Disney’s “Camp Rock” and “Camp Rock 2,” stars as Jo, the new girl at North Shore High School this time around. There she meets Abby (Jennifer Stone of Disney Channel hit “Wizards of Waverly Place), not exactly the most popular girl in school.

In defending Abby, the number one target of the Plastics, Jo gets caught up in the drama of girl world and the lead Plastic and the school’s queen bee, Mandi, played by Maiara Walsh, of Disney Channel’s “Corey In the House.”

There is one familiar face. Tim Meadows, who played Principal Duvall in the original, reprises his role in the sequel as the scene-stealing principal tired of a school rife with social trauma.
